Steps Involved in Seat Allotment and Fee Payment:
- Seat Allotment Notification:
- After each round of seat allotment, candidates will be notified about the seat allocation on the JoSAA portal.
- Fee Payment:
- After the seat allotment, candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee online to confirm their seat. The fee can be paid through Net Banking, Debit/Credit Cards, or UPI.
- Option to Freeze, Float, or Slide:
- After paying the fee, candidates can select one of the following options:
- Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and do not want to participate in further rounds.
- Float: Accept the allotted seat but are open to upgrading to a higher preference in the upcoming rounds.
- Slide: Accept the allotted seat and are open to upgrading to a different program within the same institute.
- After paying the fee, candidates can select one of the following options:
- Document Verification:
- After the fee payment, candidates will need to complete the document verification process either online or at the allotted institute.
- Final Admission:
- Once the fee is paid and documents are verified, candidates must report to the allotted institute to complete their admission process.

JEE Main 2025 Special Round Counselling
After completing the JoSAA counselling, the authorities conduct the JEE Main 2025 Special Round Counselling. The JEE Main special round counselling will be held for admission to NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and GFTIs. To participate in the special round of counselling, candidates have to register separately for CSAB.
