Which JEE books should NRI students refer?

If you are living outside India and preparing for JEE, you might face some tough time. Earlier, NRI Students particularly in middle east faced difficulty due to unavailability of the study materials in foreign locations such as Oman, UAE, Saudi. Thanks to globalisation & internet, e-books are available online & books are being shipped abroad.

However, one of the dilemmas that JEE aspirants face is the selection of books. The market is full of various books by renowned authors & PDF books & e-books that that many online coaching Institutes provide. You need to have the best books that emphasize theory and explain all the scientific concepts. 

Note: According to the latest update from DASA, from session 2021-22 onwards, JEE Mains Rank are mandatory for NRI/ PIO/ OCI/ FN Students to be eligible for DASA & CIWG Schemes. Hence, 2020-21 will be the last year when SAT 2 scores will be considered for engineering admissions under DASA/CIWG Scheme.

Chemistry:

There are primarily 2 books that will cover all the fundamental concepts of chemistry that you need to study to clear JEE Chemistry 2020.

Chemistry textbooks for Grade 11 and 12 by NCERT:

If you are a novice in chemistry, these textbooks will help you to strengthen your basic chemistry concepts. Furthermore, these books also cover some important concepts of JEE 2020 Mains and Advanced Chemistry courses. 

IIT JEE chemistry by O.P. Agarwal : It is the most refered book by experts for JEE chemistry & covers all theoretical concepts & also has a vast number of problems to solve at the end of each chapter.

JEE DASA CIWG Application

Physics:

NRI Students must refer the Grade 11 and 12 Physics textbooks by NCERT. Apart from that, below is the list of highly recommended books by the experts.

Concepts of Physics Volume 1 & Volume 2 by H.C. Verma: 

Mr H.C. Verma is a renowned professor and an experimental physicist at IIT Kanpur. This book is available in 2 volumes and is considered as one of the best books to prepare for IIT JEE 2020 Physics. It covers almost all the concepts with a theoretical and practical explanation.

IIT JEE main and advanced- 14 year's objective solved papers:

These books give you a glimpse about what kind of questions can be asked in the JEE mains and advanced exams. On attempting these books, you will know where you stand when it comes to JEE physics concepts.

These two books are considered as Bhagavad Geeta/Bible for high school mathematics as they cover almost all the basic concepts of maths with adequate problems and solved examples to strengthen your grip over the concepts.

 

Tata McGraw Hill – Mathematics:

It is a must have for the JEE aspirants for mathematics subject. Here, you will find all the concepts explained in detail and also a number of problems, ranging from easy to difficult ones. It will prepare you for tough questions that you might face while taking the exams. 

 

Apart from these, various coaching institutes in India also provide study materials easily available to NRI students to prepare for JEE Main and JEE Advanced. However, students must also practice using JEE Test series, previous years question papers & refer a few more books.
