All Indian and NRI students abroad can apply for the Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test commonly known as RPET.

NRI students can take admission in Indian engineering colleges through DASA/CIWG & NRI Quota. Clearing JEE Main will also give you the eligibility to take admission in Indian engineering colleges

Non-resident Indian (NRI) students and children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries (CIWG)  can apply under the NRI and CIWG quotas if they wish to study at top engineering colleges in Rajasthan.

All India Technical Education Council (AICTE) has authorized top engineering colleges to reserve up to 5 percent of the total NRI quota seats in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan PET is held for admission to engineering courses at UG – level.

 

Rajasthan PET 2021-22 Latest Info for all Indian Students:

  • The registration process for RPET is scheduled to begin from March 2021 until mid-April 2021.

  • The application form for RPET will be available as from March 2021. 

  • For RPET 2021 the application fee is INR 700 (may be increased).

  • RPET 2021 is scheduled to take place in May 2021. 

  • As of May 2021, RPET Admit Card will be available online.

  • The RPET Question Paper comprises 120 critical questions of the sort to be answered within 3 hours. Questions for all three topics in RPET are in both English and Hindi medium.

  • Candidates can check the RPET Engineering Result on the official website during the third week of May 2021.

 

Rajasthan PET 2021-22 for Students:

There are 126 All India Technical Education Council (AICTE) approved institutes in Rajasthan offering a 4-year bachelor's degree. 

Admission to these top engineering colleges in Rajasthan is based on merit, i.e. scores/ marks earned in qualifying examination by all Indian and NRI candidates.

Candidates who have given an unrecognized university board qualification must apply for an Equivalence Certificate obtained from the Indian Universities Association.

Foreign students seeking admission under the FN / CIWG quota are usually admitted to the Indian Agricultural Research Council (ICAR) candidate group or through a bilateral agreement with the university.

No admission is granted to self-financing foreign students; students must be funded either by the Indian government, international organization, their respective government or Indian Agricultural Research Council (ICAR).

 

NRI Quota: Eligibility Criteria for Engineering Colleges in Rajasthan

The student must meet the eligibility criteria for admission under NRI quota:

  • Students must be an Indian non-resident or have their parents given NRI status by the Indian government.

  • The Non-resident Indians are Indian birth or the descent people who live outside the Republic of India, permanently or temporarily for any of the following reasons:

  1. Taking up a job/ employment outside India. 

  2. Run a business outside India, or carry a vocation. 

  3. Any other reason which would show his / her intention to spend an uncertain time outside India.

  • Students must have passed their qualifying exam after grade 12 and should have passing marks in all of these subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology.

 

NRI Quota: Documents required for Engineering Colleges in Rajasthan

In Rajasthan, NRI admissions to top engineering colleges are offered directly on a first come first serve basis. In order to be considered for admission under NRI quota, Given documents must be submitted :

  • Print out the application form online along with receipt of the application fee charge.

  • Equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities.

  • Evidence of the date of birth.

  • Qualifying test mark sheet.

  • Physical Fitness Certificate of Registered Medical Practitioner.

  • Transfer Certificate by last attended the head of the institution.

  • Character Certificate  from the last institution

  • Pass Certificate in Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its comparable/ equivalent with Science subjects and mathematics.

  • Pass Certificate of Secondary Examination (10) together with a detailed mark sheet.

  • Passport with proof of NRI status. 

  • The following documents might be used to determine the NRI status: 

  1. Foreign Country Passport or Green Card 

  2. Permanent Resident Card issued by the competent authority 

  3. OCI / PIO Card issued by the Government of India.

PIO/FN/CIWG Quota in Top Engineering Colleges in Rajasthan:

Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) cardholder, Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries (CIWG) and Foreign Nationals (FN) can register under the PIO / FN / CWIG quota to study at Rajasthan's top engineering colleges.

About 15% of the seats at and above the ' approved admission ' may be reserved under the PIO / FN / CWIG quota. One-third of this 15 % of seats are reserved for children of Indian workers in the Gulf States (CIWG). 

Top engineering colleges in Rajasthan are affiliated to these two universities:

  • Rajasthan Technical University, Kota

  • Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur

For applicants under the FN / PIO / CIWG quota, the applicant must be either an (FN) foreign national or a person of Indian origin (PIO), or an Indian Overseas Citizenship (OCI) cardholder, or (CIWG) children of Indian workers in Gulf countries.

  • Foreign National (FN) means a resident of countries other than India not of Indian origin as described under the OCI / PIO.

  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/ OCI: Person of Indian Origin is a citizen of any country other than Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal or Pakistan.

if he or she holds an Indian passport at any time, or if, by virtue of the Constitution, he or either of his or her parents or spouse is citizens of India.

Overseas Citizenship of India-is a pseudo-citizenship scheme developed because the constitution of India does not allow full dual citizenship. 

The OCI passport, which is a long-stay visa with limitations on voting rights and government jobs, serves as evidence of the OCI and is available to certain PIOs.

  • CIWGC is a scheme established by the Ministry of India for children of Indian migrant workers in Gulf countries seeking admission to India.

 

Students must attach documents similar to the NRI, along with the following documents:

  • In the case of an application under the FN (Foreign National) quota, a passport of a country other than India is required. Students are also recommended to apply for a visa shortly after being admitted to the university. Students must also request a Physical Health Certificate along with a negative AIDS report.

  • In the case of PIO or OCI, OCI cardholders and necessary documents to prove their status.

  • Students who fall under the CIWG scheme are required to submit evidence showing either parent working in a Gulf country, which the parent's employer must properly sign. A copy (if any) of the child's parent in Gulf passport, visa and work permit is also expected to be submitted as evidence.

RPET 2021 Application Process for Students

Once the RPET 2021 notification is released, the candidates must be alerted to checking the official website regularly to begin the registration process.

  • The steps to follow for the RPET 2021 application process are set out below: Visit the Board of Technical Education's official website, Rajasthan Click on the RPET 2021 online registration button.

  • Provide the required details such as name, date of birth, academic qualifications, address of correspondence, email and contact information.

  • Upload your photograph and your signature according to the above requirements.

  • For future reference pay the application fee and note the specific transaction Id.

  • Verify all the filled out details and make any necessary changes if something is wrong. 

  • Take a print from the final application form, and press the submission form.

 

RPET 2021 Application Fee for Students :

The fee for the application form is Rs. 700 (may be increased), and applicants can pay it either via E-Mitra Kiosk or online using a credit / debit card or net banking.

If the candidate chooses to pay via E-Mitra, he should contact the E-Mitra Kiosk Center and pay the fee together with a nominal service fee. 

Then, a receipt containing the 12/16-digit Token number would be issued which the applicant must keep safe.

If the fee is paid online using either a debit or net banking, then it will produce a Transaction ID and the applicant will save it as proof of payment for future use.

 

RPET 2021 Admit Card

The admit card is a very important document to be held by the candidate on exam day. 

This contains information such as the name and photograph of the applicant, the roll number, the date and time of the test, the location of the examination and some general information. 

Candidates must ensure that the RPET 2021 Hall Ticket is kept secure until the admission process is over.
