Vel Tech Technical University, declared as Deemed to be University by UGC and notified by MHRD, offers 25 courses in Engineering.
At present, more than 12,000 students and 300 teachers are part of this university. Every year, it conducts Vel Tech Technical University Engineering Entrance Exam -VTUEEE for providing admissions to eligible candidates.
Fee
The annual admission fee, academic kit and examination fee for B.Tech programmes is Rs. l,20,000.
For a non-AC single room, the annual charges are of Rs. 1,00,000. The caution deposit and admission fee is Rs.5,000 for both separately.
Industry interface
Level Tech University has conducted job fair this year inwhich17companies took part offering 256 placements.
Companies like Harley Davidson, Hyundai Dyrnos Lear, Reliance ADA, Amalgamation Repco, etc. visited the university for campus recruitment.
Infrastructure
The university has more than 50 laboratories for engineering practice, digital electronics, optical fiber & microwave, and more. These have computer facilities with 24*7 Internet connectivity. Here, different kinds of engineering concepts can be experimented and researched.
The central library has around 79,053 volumes of reading material in various branches of Science and Technology along with 196 foreign and Indian journals. Also, it has video conferencing facility and NPTEL video courses.

Counselling
The counseling cum admission procedure will be held from June 15 to July 15, 2014 in the university campus, Chennai. Candidates, who apply directly or through J EE Main 2014, will be called for VTUEEE Counselling if they are found to be eligible.
Candidates have to attend the counseling in person along with original documents.
