FAQ NRI Quota in BIT Mesra:
Answer 1: NRI students can write BITSAT and it’s comparatively easy than JEE Main and JEE Advance. You have to solve 150 questions in 180 minutes. If you have a good speed and accuracy than you will definitely get through the exam.
Answer 2: Gulf quota in engineering colleges in India is a special quota provided by MHRD, Government of India, under DASA scheme for the children of gulf workers in countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. 1/3rd seats from DASA scheme in NITs, IIITs and other premier technical institutions is reserved for gulf quota.
Answer 3: NRI students can join online coaching for JEE preparation where they will get live classes, hard copy study material, DPPs and online test series
Answer 4: While applying for JEE, the documents required from NRI students are scanned clear passport photograph and signature, Grade 10 and 12 or equivalent qualifying exam mark-sheet and one ID proof. At the time of JEE exam, students need to bring Admit Card and ID proof only.
Answer 5: There are 20 GFTI colleges in India.
Answer 6 : No, there is no additional charge from you. As long as you are a registered student at BITS, you can avail of the service.
