DASA / CIWG Scheme 2025-26

Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and foreign nationals can be admitted to India’s top technical schools—with the exception of IITs—through the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) program, which is run by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWG), a component of this program, sets aside seats exclusively for the offspring of Indian workers in Gulf nations.

Comments

  1. The general notion at NITs is that most of the people think that students through DASA have plucked a low hanging fruit and they are not as competent as those of having written JEE. There have been many instances at NITs where DASA students complain of not understanding the subject matter well. People understand that DASA students have paid the fee 6 times more, just to secure their places in NITs. This creates a believe that DADS Quota students are not as competent as JEE students.
