DASA & CIWG 2022: Application Procedure:
DASA is commonly known as Direct Admission of Students Abroad. DASA scheme was launched by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and it has been effective since the academic year 2021.
DASA scheme is for the Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin/Overseas Citizen of India/Non-Resident Indians that are after the undergraduate programs in Engineering/Architecture/Planning streams from the 62 premier technical institutes of India.

DASA Application Procedure
For admissions in engineering under the DASA scheme, candidates must fill the DASA application form available online. The online application process includes the following steps
Step 1: Registration

In order to register himself, the candidate must have a valid email id as all links will be sent to the same id. Click on create my account and a link will then be sent to registered id.

Click on the link and fill in the required information.

Once the details will be filled, registration will be done.

Note down the applicant id and password for future reference.
Step 2: Filling DASA Application Form
Once registration is done, candidates will have to fill details

Academic qualification

Contact information

The candidates will also have to select any number of preferences for the courses and institutes in which they want to avail admission. The selection will be done in the choice of priority.
Step 3: Uploading Photograph & Documents
After filling the application form, the candidate will be required to upload documents

Please ensure that name of the candidate should be exactly same in the passport, qualifying exam and SAT score)

Applicant’s Passport (Nationals of Nepal who does not have a passport, the copy of Authenticated Citizenship Card has to be submitted*).

Proof of date of birth (Secondary Education Board / University Certificate [Class X or equivalent] or any certificate issued by the Government authorities).
-
Mark Sheet of 10th, 11th and 12th (or) Equivalent examination(s).

Certificate from School authorities (in the format given in Appendix-II on the letterhead of the school) as proof of completion of 11th and 12th Standard or equivalent.

Proof of last 2 years of education in the foreign country in case of NRI or any foreign national (School leaving certificate/Mark sheets/Study Certificate as in appendix IV).

Details and proof of fee payment in case of payment by SWIFT transfer.
In case, 12th standard or equivalent is not completed yet, the candidate has to give an undertaking in the online application.
Eligible applicants who have appeared/are appearing for the qualifying examination during the academic year 2022-23 can also apply by submitting the completed application form along with the registration fee, first-semester tuition fee and other documents.
Important Notes:

The transcripts/ marks/grade sheets of the qualifying examination should be self-attested.

If any supporting documents are in languages other than English or Hindi, authenticated translated copy of the documents in English or Hindi must also be provided.

A copy of the qualifying exam marks card is to be provided to the DASA office as soon as it is available.

Applicants should submit the original marks card of the qualifying examination and all other documents

Please mention the full name of applicant & DASA 2022 Application ID in all correspondence.
Step 4: Submission of DASA Application 2022 Form
Candidates are advised to preview their form before final submission for any mistakes.
Once rechecked the form, click on the submit button. Download the form by clicking on “download application form” and keep it for future reference.
Step 5: Payment of Application Fees
The candidates will have to submit the application fee & the first-semester tuition fee. The application fee can be paid in two modes: e-payment or SWIFT transfers. The online/e-payment can be done through debit or credit cards or net banking.
The tuition fees will be refunded if the candidates will not be allotted any seat or will withdraw before the specified time period. After successful transaction, the candidates will receive the generation ID.
DASA UG 2022: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying under DASA scheme must satisfy the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:
Age:
There is no age limit mentioned but the candidate should be 12th pass.
The birth date recorded in the secondary education board/university certificate (class X or equivalent) or any certificate issued by the government authorities will be considered authentic.
Qualification:
The academic eligibility criteria of the candidates will also be considered for the admission in various undergraduate courses in engineering & architecture.

Applicants must have passed the qualifying examination or equivalent from any system of education as recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.

The candidates must have completed Mathematics, Physics and any one of the subjects from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Biology) in XI and XII class from the respective boards.

The applicant must have secured the minimum of at least 60% marks taken together in all the subjects of 10+2 examination or 6.50 CGPA or equivalent in the qualifying examination.
JEE Score Requirements

Any aspirants applying through DASA must have scored a minimum score of 180+ in JEE Main.

The candidates are advised that the JEE Main score must be directly sent by the NTA to the respective DASA Center. It must be noted by the candidates to indicate the respective Institute code (in this case, 7563) while filling the application form of DASA/CIWG.

All the candidates who have applied for multiple attempts in JEE Main will be required to send the best score to MNNIT Allahabad from NTA. Candidates shouldn't send the mutiples scores to the DASA.

Residential Criteria:
-
The applicant appearing for admission through DASA 2022-23 must be NRI, PIO, OCI, Foreign candidates. However, the candidates must have passed the qualifying examination from any country excluding India. Foreign Nationals alone are eligible to DASA scheme irrespective of the country they live in. That is, Foreign nationsl residing in India are also eligible. Indians studying in India aren't eligible for DASA scheme.

A foreign national who is residing in any other country including India is also eligible.

The citizens of India studying abroad will be eligible for admission. Such candidates should have completed their XI and XII or equivalent examination from outside India.
Reservation Criteria:
As per the regulations of All India Council of Technical Education, the one-third seats will be reserved for the Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWG). But, if the seats will be vacant, the seats will be converted to the quota of 2/3 of the categories of DASA 2022-23. However, the DASA 2022 Eligibility Criteria for such candidates will be the same. The candidates under this category will have to submit the relevant identity proof. The countries under CIWD reservation are-

National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, is coordinating admissions to various UG and PG programs of reputed institutes in India under DASA for the year 2022-23.
The admission is applicable only for those candidates who belong to foreign nationals/ PIOs/ NRIs/ OCIs under the DASA scheme. They can submit the online DASA application form along with the required fee and supporting documents before the last date.
All the candidates will also have to send their current JEE Main Score through the College Board NTA to the authority before the last date. The application fees will be separate for Non-SAARC candidates and SAARC candidates.
The DASA 2022 application fees can be paid only through e-payment or SWIFT transfer along with the tuition fees of the first semester.
