Assam CEE (Assam Combined Entrance Examination) For Students:

Assam CEE 2020-Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) will conduct the Assam CEE 2020 exam on 26 April for admission to UG engineering courses.

Assam CEE is a common examination for Indian & NRI candidates to take admission in B.Tech courses at ASTU and its participating institutes in Assam. The application form for Assam CEE 2020 will be available online from 2 March.

Assam CEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

NRI & Indian students are advised to ensure that they are eligible for Assam CEE 2020 before filling out the application form.

Assam CEE eligibility criteria are the conditions that every potential candidate must meet in order to be appearing to the entrance exam and secure admission thereon Detailed eligibility conditions are as follows

  • Students must be an Indian citizen and NRIs 

  • Students must have achieved a minimum of 50 percent marks (45 percent reserved) in Class 12 or equivalent Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English subjects

  • Students must be between 17 and 21 years of age on August 1st, 2020. SC / ST candidates are given 3 years of relaxation, while students with B.Sc. The degree can extend until the age of 22.

  • Candidates must have a good moral character and must be physically and mentally fit.

 

For Engineering Degree Courses:

  • Qualifying Exam: Applying NRI & Indian candidates must appear in 12th or equivalent from recognized board/university.

  • Subjects: Indian & NRI candidates must qualify the qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.

  • Minimum Marks:  NRI & Indian candidate must obtain 50% marks (45% for SC and 40% for ST candidates) in the qualifying examination.

 

For BAMS/BHMS Courses:

  • Qualifying Exam: Indian & NRI candidates applying for the exam should pass the 10+2 or equivalent exam.

  • Subjects: NRI & Indian candidates must have the Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as a subject.

  • Minimum Marks: Candidate must score the 50% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination.

Assam CEE Application Form 2020:

In March, ASTU will release the application form of Assam CEE 2020 in online mode. Indian & NRI students must fill out the application form from the official website of ASTU within the specified dates.

The application process for Assam CEE includes the filling in of the application form, the uploading of the scanned image of the photograph and the signing and payment of the application fee.

  • University provides admission related information on the website and also in the local newspapers.

  • NRI & Indian candidates can fill the application form through online mode.

  • Indian & NRI candidates have to register themselves by filling all the required details.

  • After that the NRI & Indian candidate can log in to the website with an application number/username and password.

  • Candidates have to upload the recent color passport size photograph of maximum size 35KB and the minimum is 20KB.

  • There is no need to send a copy of the application form or any document to the university.

 

Application Fee:

  • After submitting the online application form, the candidate has to take a print out of Challan.

  • The Challan can be deposited in any branch of the State Bank of India.

  • The candidate should keep his/her copy of Challan after depositing requisite fee.

Assam CEE Exam Pattern 2020:

NRI & Indian candidates preparing for Assam CEE 2020 must familiarise themselves with the Assam CEE 2020 Exam Pattern so as to get an idea of the question paper format.

  • Duration of Assam CEE Exam: Each paper shall be of 3 hours duration.
  • Number of Question: It shall contain 100 questions.
  • Type of Question: The question paper will be of multiple choice questions.
  • Assam CEE Marking Scheme: Each question carries one mark.
  • Assam CEE Negative marking: There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Assam CEE Counselling 2020:

  • All Indian & NRI candidates listed in the Released Merit List will have to complete and submit Form B in order to be registered for the Assam CEE 2020 Consulting Session.

  • When filling out Form B, the candidates will have to select their 3 choices of course and college (in order of preference).

  • The personal and educational details of the candidate must also be filled in.

  • The completed Form B must be submitted to the counseling center along with other required documents.

  • Once the documents have been successfully verified, the candidates will have to sit down for an interview.

  • Payment of counseling fees has to be made.

  • The allocation of seats shall be made on the basis of the qualifications of the candidate, their preferred choice and the availability of seats during the consultation session.

  • Allotted candidates will have to report to their respective institutes and complete the admission formalities.

  • If the applicants are unable to complete the admission formalities within the time allowed, their seat will be canceled.
