Goa-CET: Goa Common Entrance Test:

Goa-CET or GCET is a state level entrance exam carried out for various professional degree courses such as UG Engineering and admissions to pharmacy. 

The Indian and NRI candidates can get admission to government / aided engineering colleges of Goa state. Indian and NRI Students can take this exam and get admission in reputable engineering colleges in Goa. 

NRI students can take admission in Indian engineering colleges through DASA/CIWG & NRI Quota.

Goa-CET 2022:

Take a look below on some important points for Goa-CET 2022:

  • The exam date has been released by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) on Goa CET's official website.
  • Indian and NRI Candidates who have passed the 12th Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Education exam or their equivalent exam with 45 percent marks are eligible to appear in the offline entrance test. 
  • The admission will be given based on marks earned/obtained during the entrance test.
  • Indian and NRI Candidates will be able to obtain admission to Goa state's state government / assisted engineering colleges.
  • Indian and NRI Candidates have to appear and qualify NEET UG exam for admissions in MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy), BAMS (Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences (Paramedical), & B.Sc. in Nursing courses.
  • GCET is a state-level entrance test, which is performed once a year.

Clearing JEE Main will also give you the eligibility to take admission in Indian engineering colleges.

Goa-CET 2022 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates wishing to be admitted into GCET 2022 should meet the following eligibility criteria:

Candidate Nationality: Candidates should be Indian National/NRI.

NRI Candidate: Indians who hold Indian passports can also apply for seats reserved under NRI quota. Under this group OCI / PIO may also apply.

Qualifying Exam: Indian and NRI Candidates who have already passed or appear before the start of the academic session at the 12th Science or similar exam are eligible to apply.

Minimum Marks: Candidates should have secured 45% marks at least for General & 40% for Reserved categories like SC/OBC etc..

Subjects: English Math and Physics as mandatory subjects with supplementary subjects including Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology / Chemistry, among others.

Score Card: Candidates desirous of pursuing admission to architecture degree courses must appear and have a clear NATA 2022 score.

Note: Admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS(Homeopathy), BAMS(Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences and Nursing courses will be made on the basis of NEET 2022.

 

GCET 2022 Application Form:

Candidates are advised to fill out the application form in the prescribed time frame with utmost care.To fill out the application form, go through the application details given below.

  • The GCET 2022 application form will start from the 1st week of May 2022.
  • All the Candidates either Indian and NRI have to download the application form and print it to fill out.
  • All Indian and NRI applicants must fill out the application form in their own handwriting.
  • No online mode is available for filling out the form and uploading it.
  • The application form should be submitted on specified dates along with prescribed fee at notified locations as opted by Centre.
  • Late forms will be approved with an additional late fee of Rs. 1500/–until the scheduled date.
  • Application forms will not be approved after the last date defined for submission of late forms.
  • All NRI or Indian candidates must fill in all the information requested in the application form and choose the exam center as well.
  • The application form will only be approved after payment of the request fee.

 

Application Form Fee:

  • The fee for the application form is Rs. 2000/-.
  • It may be submitted on any Scheduled Bank in the form of a demand draft drawn up in favor of "Director of Technical Education" at Panaji, Goa.

GCET Exam Pattern:

Go over the pattern of GCET exams to appear on the written test:

Exam Mode: The examination will be carried out in offline mode (OMR).

Exam Duration: The applicants will be given 2 hours to complete the entire test.

Number of Questions: Each paper contains 75 Ques.

Type of Questions: In the exam Multiple choice questions (MCQ) will be asked.

Marking Scheme in Exam: Correct response to each question will have one mark.

Negative Marking: For incorrect / multiple answers there will be no negative marking.

NRI and Indian Candidates those who want to take admission only to Pharmacy Course do not need to appear in Mathematics subject at Goa-CET 2022.

GCET's syllabus will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Goa Board, Porvorim. The syllabus will include standard 12th (Science) subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
