The NRI who comes in the OBC category can take some advantages at the time of taking the JEE (Joint entrance exam) admission.
Minimum Income Required As an NRI
As an NRI, your parent's income is less than 800000 ($12000), which means you are coming into the category of OBC. So if your parents earn more than 8 lakh per annum or belong to elite government officer rank, then you are not coming into the category of OBC apart you are an NRI.
For this, you can check with your local corporation/municipality/panchayat office that manages the Community & Income certificate. If you want to avail the OBC category, your parents should come in this category which will be verified.
It should be noted that the reservation of seats in JEE Main 2021 might be done as in keeping with the listing this is released and maintained by way of the Central Government of India. The students of a few categories will be admitted to seats reserved for them below at ease standards for ranks under reserve categories.

Hence, to join the JEE admission, the NRI with the OBC category should satisfy may conditions. One of the main is included as his/her parent's income proof which should not be more than 800000. To prove this, the student will show all documents in term of an affidavit, etc.
Only those students would elect to take OBC quota admission who gets satisfied by the JEE admission center. Others would consider in the general category.
It should be noted that the fake documents showing the OBC category will result in legal actions.
