MET (Manipal Entrance Test) For Students-

MET (Manipal Entrance Test) is a university-level examination administered annually by Manipal University to admit Indian & NRI candidates to various UG and PG degree programs. MET will be conducted in three slots a day, in online mode only.

MET Eligibility Criteria 2021-22:

The MET 2021-22 eligibility criteria for Indian & NRI students are specified by Manipal University as being course-wise. For all the courses, one specific eligibility requirement followed is that there is No Age Limit for all the courses. The most common eligibility requirements for various programmes, described below are:

  • Intermediate graduates or equivalent exams can be registered from a recognized board.

  • 10 + 2 compulsory subjects are mathematics, physics, chemistrStep 1: Filling in Basic Informationy, and English.

  • There is no minimum age limit for MET 2021 in Mathematics, Physics & any alternative topic (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or any technical subject).

  • A minimum percentage of 50 percent marks as an overall cumulative percentage in the qualifying UG degree must be secured for PG program.

MET Application Form 2021-22:

Candidates have to visit manipal.edu to access the application form to apply for MET or MET 2021. The password given must be kept confidential for further use of online logging on to the safe booking site.

The completion of MET registration requires three major steps. The following are:

 

Step 1: Filling in Basic Information

In this step, Indian & NRI candidates have to ‘Register to Apply’. They have to fill in the following details:

Personal details: Full Name, Gender, Email ID, DOB, information about parents etc. 
Courses & Categories: Candidate, Course, Program and Stream. 
Location: Choose the country, state, town and enter your pin with nationality selection

 

Step 2: Uploading Photo and Signature

Indian & NRI applicants are required to provide the following information in this step:

Education Qualification: current information of the Institute, school name, qualification examination, board/university, year of passage, etc.
Uploading Photograph and Signature of the candidate.

 

Step 3: Programs and Payment

NRI & Indian Candidates are needed to choose the program and enter their mode here. Using this, pick the preferred payment mode. Below is a brief about the same:

Application Fee Payment

The application fee is INR 600 and is INR 1400 for the entrance test.

Application fees can be paid via PayTM, Credit / Debit Card or net banking.

Payment can also be made in favor of "Manipal University" through DD, payable at Manipal or Udupi.

MET Cut off 2021

The minimum cut-off marks decided for the entrance examination by Manipal University are the criteria required to qualify the exam.

MET Counselling 2021-22

For the counseling rounds, NRI & Indian applicants meeting the minimum cut off mark and satisfying the eligibility criteria will be needed. The basic procedure adopted by MET 2021-22 counseling is as follows:

Registration: First of all, to participate in counseling, candidates must fill out the registration form through the official web site.

Verification of Documents: Next, they must verify their original documents along with the one set of self-tested documents photocopies.

Seat Allotment: Seats will be allocated according to their ranks and seat availability, as well as the choices they fill.
Counseling fee: Pay DD / Produce confirmation of RTGS payment for the course fees and collect the provisional letter of admission.
