Is There any Quota for NRIs in JEE?

The answer is 'No'. There is no such quota prescribed by the central board of education regarding the NRI (Non-Resident of India) or International students.

There is only 9 countries in the world that have their own JEE Exam centres including as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, Singapore, UAE and Ethiopia. NRIs from there will be allocated seats under a supernumerary category.

Moreover, the premier institutes of India has decided to allow 10% supernumerary quota for all foreign nationals.

There are other colleges where it's acceptable if the parents are within the Gulf, and the student has a look at India. And then, there are different colleges, wherein it's acceptable if the siblings of one in every of their mother and father is an NRI, and they're inclined to sponsor the child’s education.

The NRIs are only eligible for DASA/CIWG Quota except those who came to India in their 6th, 8th or 10th standards. The NRI students from the Middle East are eligible to get a reservation for CIWG (Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries, A subset of DASA).

1/3 of the DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) seats are reserved for CIWG category. The difference between these two arises only in the fee structure. The fee structure of CIWG is lower than the DASA. Click on the below button to know more about Fee Structure of CIWG and DASA.
