What is the duration of the SAT Test 2021?

The duration of SAT exam is 3-hour without the Essay. In case you choose, SAT with Essay then the exam duration is 3 hours and 50 minutes.

Scoring of the SAT Test

There are two sections of the exam. One is Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and the other is Math. They are both scored on a 200-800 point scale. The total SAT score is an aggregation of the section scores. If the student takes SAT with Essay then the essay score is calculated separately.

There is no specific eligibility criterion that has been laid down by the College Board.

Age Limit for SAT

There is no minimum or maximum age criterion for SAT. Usually, students between 17 and 19 appear for this exam.

Number of Attempts

Students can take the SAT exam as many times as they want. The exam is administered 5 times a year in India. It is generally conducted in the months of March, May, August, October, and December.

Educational eligibility criteria for SAT

Again there are no specific education eligibility criteria set by the College Board for SAT exam. However, high school students apply for this exam in order to pursue their higher education.

SAT 2021 Registration

Students that want to appear for SAT should get their registration done.  They can register through the offline mode via mail or through the online method. When a student goes through the online method, he/s he has to create a login id on the official SAT website and then follow the registration process.

Steps of SAT Online Registration (Steps)

1. Visit the official website of the College Board.
2. Create a student account.
3. Submit all needed details.
4. Choose the exam that you wish to appear for together with your nearest test center.
5. Upload your clear photograph.
6. Pay the application fee.

Steps of SAT Registration via Mail

1. You need to get the ‘Student Registration Guide for the SAT and SAT Subject Tests.
2. In this guide, you will get a registration form along with a return envelope.
3. Fill out the form and send it together with the demand draft for the exam.
4. The local representative of SAT in India is the USIEF. The forms that are mailed will be sent to the regional office.

There is only a limited number of seats that are available at SAT Test Centre. Therefore, the candidates are advised to get their slots booked in advance so that there is no hassle later on.

Candidates have to pay SAT exam fee if they want to appear for the SAT exam.

• The fee for SAT exam is $55. The Non-U.S. The regional Fee for students giving SAT Tests in India is $49, this makes the total SAT fee $104
• The fee for SAT exam with an Essay is $68. The  Non-U.S. The regional Fee is $ 49. So, the total fee for the SAT exam with Essay is $68 + $49 = $117
• For the subject tests, students need to pay an additional $26.
