A week before the schedule for SAT Preparation

Note: Avoid taking any full-length tests at such a point, in case any one thing going wrong can decrease your confidence for the upcoming exam, which we do not want.

Monday —-> The Reading Section

Things to do:

1. Take one passage and track your time to complete the same.

2. As there are almost NIL chances for the passages to be repeated, focus on understanding the passage and finding the answer, instead of just getting over with it.

3. Write the strategy under the list of things you want to remember, for the reading section questions, and make notes.

4. Check your answers, analyze and understand the mistakes to avoid doing the same further.

5. After practicing a few passages, analyzing the mistakes, and applying the correct strategies, the SAT Reading section won’t be a hassle.

Tuesday —-> The Language and Writing Section

For the SAT Writing and Language Section, you can follow the same steps as the reading section which are:

1. One passage at a time, and track your progress.

2. Check your grammar and spelling once you complete the passage.

3. Update notes, and finalize the strategy based on the passage analysis.

4. Before appearing for the next passage, go through your notes to avoid repetition of mistakes.

5. You can apply these updated strategies for the SAT Essay (if appearing for it).

Wednesday —-> The Mathematics Section

The key to this last-minute preparation schedule is to build up components and make last-minute adjustments.

1. Create a list of the formulae which can be used for solving the further questions, under the things you do not want to forget.

2. For the Mathematics section, try one question and check the answer. If correct, proceed to the next question, if not, understand the concept behind the question, redo the question and then proceed to the next.

3. Also, on completion of the practice questions, shortlist the topics which you think are taking more time to solve the questions, and check for the less time-consuming methods for the same.

By practicing these sections, towards the end of the day, you will be able to get the right answers within the respective time period required to solve the questions.

Thursday —-> Focus on Pacing and Timing

1. Focus on the short intervals, this will help you with your time management.

2. Analyze the time you are taking on completing every question, and try to answer maximum questions, with minimal pressure.

3. This day should be the last day when you practice any questions or check the concepts in detail or any new content.

Good to clarify new strategies, improve timing and create a process for answering questions for test day. Have proper meals with proper sleep for the last two days.
