SAT

Have the changes in the new SAT made it easier to crack?

Testprepkart has already shared very important information in its previous section with the students of the middle-east countries on the changes in the new SAT Exam. These changes have made it little simple for the students to crack the SAT Exam with a high score. The following are the few reasons why such changes have increased the chances of the students to crack the SAT Exam with a high score:-

1)   The students won’t have to switch between the subjects.

One of the issues which the students were facing was regarding the order of the sections. As per the old SAT, the students were encountering a problem with the way the sections were structured in the exam. For example, first there was a Maths section, then a Reading section and then the Maths section again. This was hindering the concentration of the students to focus on a single subject for a longer period of time. But as per the new SAT, the sections are properly structured in an order. The students can focus on the single subject for a longer period of time and solve all the questions of one subject at once properly.

2)   The students won’t be required to know the difficult vocabulary words.

Sentence completion questions will not be the part of the new SAT Exam. Now, Vocabulary will be tested for the students in the context like what do the words in the passages mean. This part will be very interesting as this will provide more practical value to the students.

3)   Reading passage is now more easy and interesting.

The students can now directly jump to the passages which they think they are at the strongest. They can directly come to the passage which they think is easier for them. It is advised to the students to start with their strongest subject.

4)   Essay writing has become much easier.

The mandatory essay was the most important part of the old SAT Exam. The time allotted to write the essay was just 25 minutes which was quite less and it used to impact the overall writing score of the students. But now, the students can score separately from the test which will not impact their overall writing score. The students now have 50 minutes to complete the essay.

5)   The Writing section will now be more practical.

The Writing section in the old SAT Exam was little tricky and illogical. In the new SAT, the questions will be more practical that will ask the students about the writing skills familiar to them and will be based on their coursework.

6)   There will be direct Maths questions.

There will be basic trigonometry questions. The questions will be more challenging and less tricky like a puzzle.   The steps which the students have to take to find out the answer will be quite clearer. The question in this section will be quite straightforward, direct and not confusing.
