Admission Application Process For US Universities.

How to apply in a college?

Testprepkart provides the information to the students regarding the college Application process. This process is quite long and a difficult in nature. So, Testprepkart here comes up with a step by step process for the purpose of applying to different colleges for SAT.

While applying in different colleges for SAT, students are required to be well prepared with the following things:-

1) Standardised Tests

2) College Research work

3) Recommendation Letters

4) Application Essays

The above mentioned points play the most important role during the college application process for SAT.

 

College Application Process:-

  • Appear for SAT or ACT for the first time during the period of September to November. This period is also the time to appear for the PSAT exam for the last time. It is advised to the students to start researching for the colleges as well during this period.
  • There is an option of retaking the SAT and the ACT Exam during the period of December to February. 
     
  • During the period from March to May, the students are required to make a tentative list of colleges which they prefer their admission into after clearing the SAT exam. The students can also ask for the approval of their Recommendation Letters during the same period. There is also an option of reappearing for the SAT and the ACT exam.
  • During the period from June to August, make a final list of SAT colleges in which the students prefer to take their admission and go through their application requirements. In this period, the students should brainstorm their essays rigorously. Here, the students also have a chance to prepare for the last chance of their SAT and ACT exam.
  • In the months of September and October, the students can officially request for the Recommendation letters and can also take the last chance to appear for the SAT and the ACT exam for early decision or early action applicants.
  • In the month of November, those early decision or early action applicants who want to take the last chance to appear for the SAT and the ACT exam are required to submit their applications for the same.
  • In December, these early decision or early action applicants will get the decision about their selection .
  • In January, regular decision applications are required to be submitted. It is important for the students to individually enquire about the each college and their policies which are differ from each other.
  • In the next month of March, the students who are the regular decision applicants will get back their decision letters related to their selection and rejection of the application.
  • In the next two months, once the students are selected, they have the option of choosing their college. The decision related to the final admission in the college is taken in this step.
