STEP 1: Create a College Board Account 

  • The first step in enrolling for the SATis to create an account with the College Board, which administers the test. Take these steps:
  • Go to the official College Board website (www.collegeboard.org).
  • Click the "Sign Up" button.
  • Provide basic information such as your complete name, date of birth, email address, and any other relevant personal information.
  • Make sure you use the same name as your official ID. This is critical for identification verification during the examination.

STEP 2: Log into Your Account

  • Once you've successfully made your account, log in using your credentials. Your dashboard will provide you access to SAT registration, practice resources, and other relevant information.

STEP 3: Begin the SAT Registration Process

  • After logging in, proceed to the "Register for the SAT"area of the College Board website.
  • Choose whether you'll take the SAT with Essay or the standard SAT. While most universities do not need an essay portion, some do, so verify the rules of the schools you are applying to. 

Step 4: Select Your Test Date and Center

The next step is to choose a testday and location which works best for you. Keep these points in mind.

Test dates: The SAT is frequently administered many times each year. Make sure you register early to get your favorite day. Test centers typically fill up rapidly, particularly in high-demand locations. The College Board has multiple testing centers across the world. Choose the one nearest to your area to prevent needless travel on test day.

STEP 5: Upload your Photo

As part of the SAT registration procedure, you have to submit a recent photograph. Your admission ticket will include your photo, which will be used to authenticate your identification.

STEP 6: Pay the SAT Registration Fee

The final step in the registration procedure is paying the SAT registration fee. The SAT fees are as follows – 

  • SAT (without essay) – $60 (foreign students' costs may differ).
  • The SAT with Essay requires an additional cost (typically $16).

You can pay using – 

  • Payment options include credit/debit cards, PayPal, and a fee waiver for qualified students. Please complete the payment process to confirm your registration.

STEP 7: Review and Confirm your Registration

After you have made your payment, carefully examine all of your date, including your test date, center, and personal information. Submit your resgistration when you have verified that everything is accurate.

STEP 8: Print your Admission ticket

After sucessfully enrolling for the SAT, you may download and print your entry ticket. On the day of your SAT exam, bring this ticket and a valid ID to the testing facility.

6. Mail the Form

Send your completed form, photo, and payment to the College Board SAT Program. Make sure to mail it early to meet deadlines.
